Brief CV

He holds a degree in French and Linguistics from the University of York.

He earned a PhD in Translation and Interpreting from the Universidade de Vigo.

He has been a professor in interpreting at the Universidade de Vigo since 1995.

He has extensive professional experience as an interpreter and translator.

  • Theoretical aspects and technological innovation in interpretating.
  • Language standardisation and planning, and T&I for minoritised languages.
  • Paratranslational aspects of the translation of The Communist Manifesto.
  • Gender (sexism and androcentrism among others) and sexuality issues in Translation and Interpreting.
